Yesterday was the day of Becky and Gary’s beautiful wedding. It was a true pleasure to work with them both. Becky is incredibly creative and knew exactly the type of wedding they wanted. A detailed brief made my job rather easy. They had already booked the perfect venue – Blake hall in Essex. It also has beautiful accommodation for the bridal party to sleep. There was only one thing I was concerned about into the run up to this wedding, and that was the weather. An outside wedding was the dream, and Blake hall had the perfect setting for that. As we all know you can never rely on the English weather! We of course had a plan B, although that didn’t stop me from checking the weather every hour the week running up to the big day.
However, there was no need to worry, the day was so sunny I got sunburnt! It was the perfect day and Becky and Gary couldn’t be happier. The bright lanterns down the aisle set the theme perfectly. It was a beautiful barn wedding, the jars looked fabulous with lace and ribbon, the bride’s dad made fantastic wood centre pieces, favours were personalised old fashioned sweet bags with gorgeous chocolates in. The gift table was jam packed with goodies, and a great keep sake for the bride and groom with polaroid photos for the guests to take then attach to a frame. A postbox matching the theme. Records as the table plan, as the couple both love their music and a big black board for the dance floor rules.
The live band also went off with a bang and all the guests were on their feet dancing. I say this every time, but it really was of Blossom Big’s favourite weddings.
